When my schedule permits, I will commute to teach lessons for an additional fee (rates based on time of day and location).

Online lessons via Zoom, Skype, Google, etc. can also be arranged.

Small group lessons are also available upon request, based on the age and level of the students.

PRACTICE:

“Practice makes Perfect.”

Practice is absolutely critical to the success of learning and playing the piano. This goes for students and musicians of all ages and levels, even professionals!

All students are encouraged to practice on a daily/weekly basis. The amount of practice time will vary based on age and experience level.

A practice chart/schedule can help students and their parents plan for regular practice and keep track of practicing habits. I can recommend a practice schedule and assist in creating the perfect practice plan for my students.

BOOKS, MATERIALS & REPERTOIRE:

We will discuss the specific music books and materials required for each student at the first lesson.

If the student has taken piano lessons before, we can begin with these books/materials. Please bring books/materials from previous lessons/teachers to the first lesson.

Beginner - Intermediate: Faber and/or Alfred Piano Method Book

Experienced/Advanced Students: Bring to the first lesson any books/music on which the student is currently working or has previously/most recently worked.

Where to purchase Music Books and Materials? In general all music can be purchased online at Amazon or other providers. We will discuss this at the first lesson or at the time new books are needed.

SCHEDULING & VACATION:

Cancellation, Rescheduling and Make-up Lessons: In the event that the student cannot attend a scheduled lesson, please notify me as soon as possible via text or phone call. I try to be very flexible and will work with you to schedule a make-up lesson.

I kindly ask that all cancellations please be made at least 24 hours in advance. Payment is due in full for any lesson that is missed without notice or canceled with less than 24-hour notice.

In the event that I must cancel a scheduled lesson, I will offer make-up lessons options, when possible.

Summer, Vacation & Holidays: I will teach lessons during the summer to students who want to continue lessons throughout the year. Dates & times can be adjusted to accommodate for travel, holidays, vacations, and summer activities.

Please advise in advance of planned vacations, holidays, activities, etc. We can coordinate together to plan and adjust for our planned vacation, holiday and other events. :-)

RECITALS & PERFORMANCES:

There will be at least one recital each year (when conditions permit, especially regarding recent COVID-19 conditions and restrictions).

Details will be provided several months in advance for preparations and planning.
